2019 Chrysler Pacifica Towing Capacity

The 2019 Chrysler Pacifica may be most well-suited to hauling passengers, but when push comes to shove, it’s more than capable of handling heavy cargo. The Pacifica is the perfect family vehicle for a variety of reasons. No matter which of its six of its trim levels you choose, expect a maximum Chrysler Pacifica towing capacity at 3,600 lbs. This means that when you want to take a break from your day-to-day, you’ll be more than capable of transporting sporting goods, camping equipment, and everything in between.

Chrysler Pacifica Trailer-Tow Option Group

Do you plan on towing with your 2019 Chrysler Pacifica? If so, it’s a good idea to opt for the available Trailer-Tow Option Group. Tow confidently in the Blue Springs area due to the following features included in the package:

  • Heavy-duty radiator
  • Trailer hitch with 2-inch receiver and integrated connector
  • 220-amp alternator
  • 7-pin/4-pin trailer-tow wiring harness
  • Trailer sway damping technology

What can you expect from these features? The wiring harness, hitch, and connector make it make attaching your trailer a breeze. The more powerful alternator and heavy-duty radiator deliver the ultimate in performance. Trailer sway damping technology tracks the motion of your trailer and applies electronic stability control to mitigate trailer sway.

Keep in mind – The features mentioned above are not a substitute for driving carefully.

Chrysler Pacifica Cargo Capacity

Not only does the Pacifica allow you to tow heavy cargo – it also provides plenty of cargo space inside of the vehicle. Each trim comes standard with 3rd-row 60/40 split fold-in bench seats.  With this convenient feature, you can fold the seats directly into the floor if you need more space for belongings and less space for passengers.

If you choose the LX trim level and above, enjoy the added benefit of 2nd-Row Stow ‘n Go® Seats as well! The Chrysler Pacifica cargo storage dimensions are as follows:

  • Cargo Capacity Behind 3rd-Row Seat: 32.3 cubic feet
  • Cargo Capacity Behind 2nd-Row Seat: 87.5 cubic feet
  • Cargo Capacity Behind 1st-Row Seat: 140.5 cubic feet

Each of the rear Chrysler Pacifica Stow ‘n Go® Seats can be folded into the floor individually, or alongside the other seats. If you leave the second-row seats are upright, you can store possessions in the large 2nd-Row Stow ‘n Go® Storage Bins located right in front of them.

Chrysler Pacifica Powertrain

The Chrysler Pacifica would not be able to offer such impressive towing capacity if it wasn’t for its outstanding engine. A 3.6L V6 24V VVT engine is the standard offering. All trims other than the base model come with a powerful generator that has fuel-saving Engine Start/Stop (ESS) technology. No matter the configuration you select, a 9-speed transmission and front-wheel drive are standard.
