2021, Jeep rebranded the Jeep Grand Cherokee as the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The extra “L” on the end was meant to represent the additional length that the Jeep Grand Cherokee L provides when compared to the original Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Jeep Grand Cherokee L has three rows of seating whereas the Jeep Grand Cherokee only has two rows.
The most current Jeep Grand Cherokee is more commonly known as the All-New Jeep Grand Cherokee. Since the Jeep Grand Cherokee L is only for 2021, Jeep wanted to return to its roots with the All-New Jeep Grand Cherokee, which goes back to having two rows of seating instead of 3 rows like the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The “All-New” helps distinguish the return of the two-row Jeep Grand Cherokee from the longer Jeep Grand Cherokee L.
One of the other things that separate the All-New Jeep Grand Cherokee from the previous year’s Jeep Grand Cherokee L is the addition of the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. What is the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe? The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is the first-ever plug-in hybrid version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, combining the 4×4 capability of a Jeep vehicle, a gas-powered engine, and an electric motor all to create excellent fuel economy.
If the Jeep Grand Cherokee WK looks familiar, that’s because you’ve probably seen it before. Independence drivers may recognize the exterior design of the Jeep Grand Cherokee WK. The Jeep Grand Cherokee WK was originally released in 2005, and the last model was released in 2010. For 2022, the Jeep Grand Cherokee WK makes a comeback, sporting its same iconic exterior design with plenty of new technology and performance features.
